Our Green Mission
Since the inception of Earth Garden, we’ve taken our eco-consciousness seriously and strive to create an atmosphere that is not only enjoyable but also sustainable. Generally speaking festivals can be a carbon and waste intensive, but they can also provide the best testing ground for collaboration, creativity education, awareness and innovation, with many exciting opportunities to reduce impact. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we have made several key changes at Earth Garden. First and foremost, we have eliminated single-use plastic and have implemented a reusable cup system for drinks. Not only does this reduce waste and pollution, but it also promotes a more mindful approach to consumption.
In addition, our food vendors are carefully selected and vetted to ensure they’re aligned with our environmental policies. But our efforts don’t stop there as we’ve also implemented a comprehensive waste management system that includes onsite recycling and composting, ensuring that our festival generates as little waste as possible. We’ve even brought in a team of dedicated cleaners to maintain a hygienic environment throughout the festival. By making a conscious effort to dispose of waste properly and utilise the designated bins, festival-goers can help us in our mission to create a sustainable and environmentally-friendly event.
Earth Garden has been at the forefront of environmental campaigns introducing;
- A mandatory reusable cup with washing stations.
- A recycling policy with 0% to landfill (a green milestone that few festivals have the means to achieve).
- ERA enforcement officers who go round the festival to educate festival-goers.
- Incentives to encourage our festival-goers to bring their own food containers.
- The use of public transport and car pooling.
We strongly believe that by taking a holistic approach to sustainability, we can create a festival that not only celebrates music and culture but also promotes a better future for our planet. We invite everyone to join us in our commitment to sustainability and make a difference. Together, we can create a festival that is not only entertaining but also inspiring and impactful.
