Europe’s best kept secret; Earth Garden Festival is an annual open air non-mainstream music festival held at the National Park of the beautiful, sunny and affordable island of Malta right in the centre of the Mediterranean sea.

It has been going on for over 11 years and over four days attracts over 25,000 people from all over the world! This year’s edition is also part of the cultural programme of Malta’s European Capital of Culture year. The Festival features five different music stages namely: Roots Stage, Enchanted Forest, Electronic Sphere, Strawberry Hill, a live Jamming Area, two naturally shaded Campsites, showers, an Ethnic Market, Healing Fields, world cuisine and a kids’ area.

Blending the ancient, soul stirring sounds of the didgeridoo with modern dance beats and tribal grooves, this duo accompanied by guitarist Paul George will ignite high-energy dance music. This band has travelled the world playing their music, but just to mention a couple, they played on the mainstage at Portugal’s Boom festival and worked with Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas.

British-based band Lakuta will also be performing at the Roots Stage. The Guardian explained this band as producing “an infectiously danceable bed of sound: a frivolous, uplifting spirit and a steely core.” This band has heritage from Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Malaysia, Spain and the UK. Drawing on their backgrounds in jazz, funk, soul and world music they create a modern sound. Their highly danceable mix of Afrobeat, Funk and Latino grooves has led them to tour extensively, headlining stages at The Southbank Centre, Glastonbury Festival, Latitude Festival, just to mention a few.
