We have announced some of the international artists that will perform at the Roots Stage. Now we are excited as we bring you more reasons to dance, celebrate music and enjoy the sun, as we reveal the Electronic Side of Earth Garden, that is, what will be happening within the Electronic Sphere and Strawberry Hill.

After the last year’s successful introduction of Strawberry Hill, as new area, and the relocation to a new, bigger location for the Electronic Sphere, the obvious step was to include more foreign acts to the line-up and have more music sessions.

In total, over 50 artists will be performing in these two areas, of which 17 foreign artists hailing from England, Holland, Italy, Romania, Sweden, France, Germany and USA.

We will be introducing new promoters, for morning sessions, yes … that’s right… get ready for brunch and sunrise music sessions in these areas!

So the question is what’s happening at the Electronic Sphere and what’s new! Introducing a new concept at Earth Garden, Hazed Mornings, with late morning music sessions that will kick off at noon on Friday and Saturday. Hazed is a concept aimed at organising electronic music events offering the public quality music event, specifically in Ambient, Psy-Chill, Downtempo, IDM and Electronica. So expect the cream of Malta in this genre that will tune your brunch!

Continuing on Friday night with promoters We Love Acid. Their name, We Love Acid, tells a lot about the night. They love the sound that can’t be improved and they create all their projects around these frequencies. This year, they present Luke Vibert, a British recording artist and producer known for his work in many subgenres of electronic music, including collaborations with Aphex Twin. Presenting also 030303 Crew. After the great feedback about the rave vibe created by Altern8, 030303 Crew were the obvious choice and we are sure that they will give that rave vibe to our festival.

On Saturday, one of Malta’s oldest and most consistent techno promoters, Disorder will present internationally recognised and respected throughout the techno scene artist, Regis. The concept for their night at Earth Garden is simple, creating a carefully balanced night of music and pair it with the enthusiasm of these promoters seasoned crowd and bring this to the amazing venue and setting that only this unique Maltese festival can offer.

Sunday it’s time for Presence and their loyal crowd that love and live for the music. They have been hosting nights at Earth Garden since the early editions, so we cannot imagine an Earth Garden without a psychedelic night! The names in their line-up need no introduction, namely two pioneers of Psy and Goa, Trance Etnika and DJ Antaro. They will be accompanied by Earth Garden Resident DJ Armin Boom Shankar.

For the second year running of Strawberry Hill, sessions on Friday and Saturday will start in the evening. Starting off on Friday with M.I.B. Crew who are a new brand in a story from which music and the elements of DJ’ing emerge. Drum and Bass, Jungle or Breakbeat, get ready to welcome them with open arms, they can’t be stopped! Presenting six international artists namely; Offensive, DJ Snow & MC Agent, Trimer & Kruze MC, Jahh Roland, Naxon, and Splash – the last three are based in Malta.

Hitting it off on Saturday evening at the Strawberry Hill, from Malta Electroniché and Cultivated Electronics from the U.K.

Launched in August 2017, Electroniché allows Cult Society and Frekenzi to focus mainly on Electro music, through Club Nights, documented DJ sets and live performances. London based electro label Cultivated Electronics is headed by Sync 24 an electro artist and DJ, whose sets are always geared towards getting the party moving! Also performing Carl Finlow the mastermind behind Silicon Scally, presenting music that is reflective of the Kraftwerk era and the emerging electro-scene.
